MAYOR CAROLINE SIMMONS AND STAMFORD POLICE CHIEF TIM SHAW SWEAR IN RECENTLY PROMOTED OFFICERS

STAMFORD, CT – Mayor Caroline Simmons and Stamford Police Department Chief Tim Shaw swore in eleven officers who were recently promoted. Christopher Baker and Michael Noto were promoted to the rank of Captain. Richard Gasparino, Brendan Phillips, Jerry Junes, and Seth O’Brien were promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. Damien Rosa, Norris Clark, Cory Caserta, Frank Laccona and John Derisme were promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

“I want to extend my congratulations to all of the officers who have been promoted,” said Mayor Caroline Simmons. “These officers have served our City for decades and their dedication and commitment to their work, as well as to our community, is commendable and an example for us all. I know they will continue to serve our City with honor and bravery, as do all the hardworking men and women of the Stamford Police Department, who are one of the reasons our City remains one of the safest cities in New England.”

“I want to thank all of those promoted for their dedication to both the City and the Department,” said Stamford Police Chief Tim Shaw. “It has been almost 20 years since we made this many promotions in one day. These promotions will play an important role as we continue to move forward with our community driven vision. We are proud of all their previous successes and cannot wait to see what they do in the future with their new roles. This is an exciting day for the Officers involved, their families, the Department, and our great City.”
