Mayor’s Youth Employment Program

Summer 2023 will mark the Mayor’s Youth Employment Program’s 13^th summer. This program offers traditional underserved City of Stamford high school students the opportunity to work in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Students will have 140 hours of work at $15.50 and 30 hours of work-readiness leadership classes.

The students work at their internships from Monday, June 26^th through Thursday, July 27^th for 28 hours a week Monday through Thursday.

Not only does this strengthen our city’s youth, but it also provides a more vibrant future for Stamford. Please consider learning more about the program and supporting our efforts by hosting a student or helping fund their placement. It’s an excellent opportunity to be exposed to new experiences, and we rely on our community partners to make this program possible.
