Animal Control

Stamford Animal Control and Care is a division of the Stamford Police Department that enforces all state and city animal control laws and ordinances.

Animal Control is responsible for investigating roaming dog, nuisance pet, animal bites, cruelty to animal, leash law and injured or orphaned wildlife complaints.

Animal Control is also responsible for the adopting of impounded animals.

Residents can use Fix-It-Stamford to register a complaint for Animal Control to address.
