So many Stamford residents are requesting mail-in ballots to vote in the Nov. 3 presidential election that the town clerk, who processes them, had to make space a few floors up from her lobby-level office and move the operation there.

Stamford piano series brings music to the people
The idea for Piano For The People came from Yury Feygin, the owner of Amadeus Piano. He contacted Stamford Town Clerk Lyda Ruijter, with whom he has organized the Music In The Park series at Czescik Marina Park in the past, and told her about his idea of temporarily placing one of his pianos inside the government building. He told her, “In your building we need some air, we need some light, some not-so-serious thoughts,” Ruijter recalled.

VOTER REGISTRATION SESSION

 

Lucy F. Corelli and Ron Malloy, Registrars of Voters, will hold a voter registration session on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m. at their office on the 6th floor of the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Blvd.  Those interested must be citizens of the United States, residents of Stamford, and have or will have attained the age of 18 on or before November 5th, 2024.  Please bring identification.  Proof of residency is required.

 

During this Registration Session, the registrars will hear requests for adding to the registry list the names of persons previously removed. The deadline for mail in voter registration is March 28, 2024.  Stamford residents who have recently moved within Stamford should notify the Registrars of their change of address.  Changes can be made by calling 203 977-4011 or 977-4012

 

Voter registration is conducted daily between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  Monday through Friday or call (203) 977-4011 or 977-4012 to request a Mail-In Voter Registration Form or you may register on-line at voterregistration.ct.gov providing you have a Connecticut driver’s license.
