Harbor Unit

The Mission of the Stamford Police Harbor Unit, is to provide law enforcement and rescue operations in the 19 square miles of Long Island Sound off of the Stamford coast line. The Harbor Unit also provides assistance and mutual aid to the U.S. Coast Guard, the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and other neighboring towns, to protect life and property. Harbor Unit personnel provide safety and boating information to the boating community, regarding state and local marine laws and safety concerns in the Stamford Harbor.
