The Identification Bureau/Crime Scene Unit is open to Stamford residents or employees of a Stamford based company where fingerprinting is a requirement of their employment. Proof of employment is required at the time of fingerprinting.

If you are being fingerprinted for a Pistol Permit please call (203) 977-1710 for the eight-digit PreEnrollement Service Code.

If you are seeking fingerprinting for work, immigration, daycare, etc., the requesting entity/organization will provide you with this eight-digit Service Code.

Once you have the appropriate eight-digit Service Code that matches your reason for being fingerprinted, follow this link to the PreEnrollement webpage and complete the pre-enrollment process.

A fee of $5 per fingerprint card can be paid only by check or money order and made out to the "City of Stamford”:
