Husky A,B,C, Qualified Health Plans (QHP)

Access Health CT (AHCT) is Connecticut’s only official health insurance marketplace. AHCT offers Connecticut residents and employers a range of quality, affordable health and dental insurance options from several health insurance partners. AHCT is the only place where Connecticut residents can qualify for certain affordability programs that can help you pay for your health care coverage. These affordability programs include: Advanced Premium Tax Credits (APTC), Cost-Sharing Reduction Plans.

Access Health CT has carefully selected the insurance companies below to ensure access to affordable care that covers everything that you deserve and that is required by law.
Connecticut residents can also apply through Access Health CT for a number of programs offered through the Department of Social Services.
  •      HUSKY A (for children under 19, parents, pregnant women, and adults who live with and take care of children who are related to them) - Connecticut children and their parents or a relative caregiver; and pregnant women may be eligible for HUSKY A (also known as Medicaid), depending on family income.
  •      HUSKY B (for children under 19) - Uninsured children under age 19 in higher-income households may be eligible for HUSKY B (also known as the Children’s Health Insurance Program). Depending on specific income level, family cost-sharing applies.
  •      HUSKY D (for low-income adults ages 19-64) - Connecticut residents aged 19 through 64, who do not qualify for HUSKY A; who do not receive federal Supplemental Security Income or Medicare; and who are not pregnant, may qualify for HUSKY D (also known as Medicaid for Low-Income Adults).
