Stamford Veteran Liaison

In accordance with Connecticut General Statutes Section 27-135 the designated Veteran liaison shall carry out the duties of assisting and serving veterans with regard to state or federal services or benefits and identifying and advising such veterans of community or nonprofit programs focused on assisting and serving such veterans.

A place for veterans and their families to be empowered, directed, and connected to available resources and services.  Located at Stamford Old Town Hall (175 Atlantic Street).

The hours of the center are from 10:00am – 1:00pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays

 

We are proud to announce the Stamford Veterans Resource Center opened on Wednesday February 15, 2023. The Center is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am - 1:00pm.  This center is a place for all veterans and their families to be connected to the experts who can help gain access to the services and programs tailored specifically for them.

Free Blood Pressure Screening for Veterans

The Department of Health clinic continues to offer free blood pressure screenings to the community at the clinic located at 137 Henry St in Stamford, CT. Veterans are welcome to call the office number (203-977-5933) to make an appointment. There is free parking at the clinic.  Services are completely free and confidential. No proof of insurance required.

Veteran Vaccine Clinic (No Age Restriction!)

    Walk-in clinic at the West Haven Annex, 200 Edison Road/Pez Blvd. in Orange, CT

(Updated March 17) - Effective March 1, VA Connecticut Healthcare System is now offering COVID-19 vaccine to eligible enrolled veterans regardless of age. Depending on location, VA Connecticut patients will receive either the two-dose Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. 

Key Information for Attendees:

  • Eligible veterans (any age) must be enrolled for care with VA to receive the vaccine. Veterans can apply online at https://www.va.gov/health-care/how-to-apply/.
  • We are administering the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Location will determine which vaccine you receive.
  • Availability is first come, first served at walk-in clinics.
  • Mask and physical distancing required. To maintain physical distancing, if possible, please don’t bring anyone with you to the clinic.
