St John's Park is home to the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, which was completed on November 11, 1920. The 34 foot monument was dedicated to the 4,400 Stamford residents who served in military engagements from 1641 to 1918. The monument lies in the center of this half acre park right in the middle of Downtown Stamford.
