Scalzi Park is the largest recreational area within the Stamford city limits. It features tennis, basketball, volleyball courts, running and hiking trails, a playground as well as a bocce ball court. It also houses Cubeta Stadium, which is home to the Stamford American Legions and Babe Ruth baseball teams.

Skateboarders and inline skaters attended several design meetings between December 2004 and January 2006, which ultimately led to the City's only cement skate park being constructed.
