Mayor's Office Update

  • Mayor Simmons and the City of Stamford have committed to the Vision Zero Initiative. To follow updates on the Vision Zero Initiative, click here.
  • The state of Connecticut’s mandatory revaluation process has been completed. More information about the revaluation process can be found here.

     

    Important Information for Stamford Residents

  • Celebrate the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this weekend, click here for a list of events happening throughout the city
  • A Note from the Stamford Department of Health:
    • Fairfield County is currently in the high level for COVID-19 community transmission due to increased hospitalizations, especially among older adults. All residents are encouraged to get their COVID-19 booster and consider wearing masks when in indoor public spaces. For more information, please check out the CDC website or contact the Stamford Department of Health (communityhealth@stamfordct.gov).
  • The Stamford School Board Committee has voted to add new holidays to the school calendar, read more here.
  • The Stamford Department of Health Flu vaccine clinic is open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm every Wednesday until April 30th, 2023. The clinic is located at 137 Henry Street, no appointment needed.

  • Residents can submit road paving suggestions for the Tier 2 list of the Pave Stamford initiative here.

     

    COVID-19 Updates

    Case Numbers

    Follow the City of Stamford’s Covid-19 Dashboard, which provides the latest up-to-date
    information on COVID-19 cases and vaccination rates in the City.

    Vaccination Sites

  • Saturday January 14th, 2022:

The vaccination site at Westover School will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Child Guidance Center vaccination site (401 Shippan Ave) will be open from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

  • Sunday January 15th, 2022:

The vaccination site at Americares (401 Shippan Ave) will be open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

1/16-1/19 vaccines are available at the following locations free without an appointment:

  • All Ages
  • 137 Henry Street Clinic: Tuesday – Appointment Only 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
    • Call (203)-977-5385
  • 137 Henry Street Clinic: Thursday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Americares (401 Shippan Ave): Tuesday & Thursday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
  • Ferguson Library (Main Branch): Monday – Thursday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

 

  • 1st and 2nd doses are available to all, as well as booster shots for ages 5+ (Pfizer) and 18+ (Moderna/J&J) at all walk up vaccination clinics.

Covid-19 Testing Sites

  • St. Mary’s Church (566 Elm St) testing site will be open at the following times:
  • Monday - Friday 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
  • Saturday & Sunday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
  • Beginning January 1, 2023, the state will no longer be covering the cost for uninsured patients. If you are uninsured, you can still receive a test, but you will be charged for the cost of the test.

Other Resources

  • If you are unable to leave your home or are uncomfortable traveling to a vaccine site, the Stamford Department of Health will bring the vaccine to you. Please call 203-977-4378 or 203-977-4369 to schedule your free in-home COVID-19 vaccine appointment.

City Services

  • The Take it Or Leave it Shop & the Book Swap Shop at Katrina Mygatt are now open:
  • The Take It or Leave It Shop is open on Tuesday & Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
    • Closed on all inclement weather days (rain and snow)
  • The Book Swap Shop is open on Tuesday & Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
