Your City at Work: From the Mayor's Desk

Charter Revision Commission Public Hearing: On Wednesday, May 24th at 7:00 pm, the City of Stamford Charter Revision Commission is holding a public hearing to consider proposed changes to the City Charter. The public hearing will take place in the 4th floor cafeteria of the Stamford Government Center (888 Washington Boulevard). A review of the provisions of the City Charter must be done every ten years and the Charter is the document that defines the powers and functions of City government.

Proposed changes can be viewed here.

A summary of the proposed changes can be found here.

I encourage residents to attend the public hearing and share your thoughts and concerns with the Charter Revision Commission about their proposed changes. As Charter Revision happens every ten years, this is a critical opportunity to ensure your voice is heard and our City continues on the path of progress and inclusive growth.

Sincerely,

Mayor Caroline Simmons
