Are you a parent of a preschool age child? Join us for our monthly School Readiness Council meetings to learn about early childhood community partners, the kindergarten transition process, Stamford Public Schools and much more. The State of Connecticut’s School Readiness legislation mandates that a School Readiness Council (SRC) be convened to ensure compliance with School Readiness grant policies, to oversee program implementation, and to make recommendations to the Mayor and the Superintendent of Schools on issues relating to early childhood. SRC members include designees of the Mayor and the Superintendent of Schools, representatives from the Mayor’s Office, Superintendent’s Office, Stamford Public Schools, Health Department, home daycare providers, parents, and local Pre-School providers.
