The following maps provide general geographic information about Stamford or information about zoning and other rules that apply to certain areas to the city.

Zoning & Master Plan Interactive Map

  • The Zoning & Master Plan Map shows the location and extent of Stamford’s zoning districts. Zoning regulates what land can be used for, how much land a building can cover and how tall a building can be. Amendments through March 12, 2024.

Neighborhood Profiles Interactive Map

  • This is your gateway to data, maps and other resources describing Stamford's various neighborhoods. Choose a neighborhood profile, search for an address, or explore key community indicators, assets and projects using the side bar. 

Aquifer Protection Area Program

Coastal Boundary Map

  • Many areas of the city depend on groundwater for their water supply. To maintain the supply and the quality of this important resource the State created areas where specific rules apply.

Commercial Leases

  • Commercial Leases map includes locations of recent major commercial leases.

Current Developments

  • Major Developments maps that include the locations and statuses of commercial and large residential (over 20 units) projects in Stamford.

Elevation

  • Elevation from 2011 aerial flight.

Flood Plains / Wetlands

  • This map shows areas where floods are more likely due to the elevation of the land and the proximity of rivers, streams or ponds. Special rules for construction apply in these areas and federal flood insurance may be available. Find out more about flood-prone area and wetlands regulations here.

Master Plan

  • State statute requires every City to draft a Master Plan every ten years. The Master Plan is a vision that is intended to guide the future development of the City. Map developed in 2015, amendments through December 29, 2020.

Municipal Voting Districts

  • This map shows the 20 municipal voting districts in the City. Each district has two elected officials that represent them on the Board of Representatives.

Parks

  • This map provides an overview of Stamford’s parks and beaches.

State Voting Districts

  • This map shows the 24 state voting districts in the city. State voting districts are used to vote in state and federal elections.

Tax Map

  • The Tax Maps show the approximate boundaries of real properties in the city.

  • The Zoning Map shows the location and extent of Stamford’s zoning districts. Zoning regulates what land can be used for, how much land a building can cover and how tall a building can be. Amendments through October 13, 2022.
