The City of Stamford invites you to participate in its voluntary Leaf Bagging Program.

After assessing previous years, the City’s Department of Operations has identified your street to have a history of leaf pile obstructions that create a variety of issues for its residents, such as public safety, accessibility restrictions, flooding, damaged driveways, restricted street parking, and towed vehicles. We have launched a leaf bagging pilot program to help mitigate these issues. The City encourages residents to bag their leaves and keep the streets clean. Loose leaves will continue to be picked up for those unable to participate in the program.

We understand that not every resident has access to leaf bags.

Beginning the month of October, the City will distribute free leaf bags to selected streets. After November 15, a limited supply of complimentary bags will be available for pick-up for all residents who wish to bag their leaves at Government Center. The list of streets included in the voluntary Leaf Bagging Program is below.
