MAYOR SIMMONS ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF STAMFORD SMALL BUSINESS COVID-19 RELIEF GRANT

STAMFORD, CT – Today, Mayor Simmons announced the launch of the City of Stamford Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant to provide limited, one-time direct financial assistance up to $10,000 to eligible Stamford for-profit small businesses that have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Whether you are a restaurant owner, retail space, or child care providers, we know how challenging it has been for small businesses to stay afloat over the past few years,” said Mayor Caroline Simmons. “The Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant will provide up to $10,000 in assistance to eligible businesses and will support them as they continue to recover. My administration is committed to supporting small businesses and ensuring they have the resources they need to grow and thrive in our community.”

The application for the Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant will be available on the City of Stamford website on Monday, April 3^rd, 2023. One-third of total grants will be reserved for small business enterprises who are owned and operated by minorities, women, people with disabilities, and veterans.

Businesses who qualify for these reserved grants will need to submit a self-certification form as part of their application. Grant guidelines, including more information about eligibility requirements and upcoming information sessions and office hours can be found in English, Spanish, and Creole.
