From the Mayor's Office

  • Residents can submit road paving suggestions for the Tier 2 list of the “Pave Stamford” initiative here.
  • The Mayor’s Office, in partnership with the city’s Community Development Office, is pleased to inform you that the 2022 Community Micro-Grant Program (formerly known as the Neighborhood Grant Program) is back this year. Click here to view the application and more.
  • The City of Stamford was award $2.5 million Connecticut Challenge Grant, read more here.
  • The Tax Assessor’s Office is now accepting application for the Elderly/Totally Disabled Homeowner Tax Abatement Program. Application deadline is May 13, 2022. Please click here for more information
  • Members of the Mayor Simmons cabinet and department heads continue to present their budgets to the Board of Representatives Fiscal Committee and the Board of Finance. Click here to view the budget presentation schedule. The FY22-23 budget proposal can be found here.
  • US households can order an additional set of four free at home COVID-19 test kits. Orders can be placed here.

COVID-19 Updates

  • Case Numbers
    • Follow the City of Stamford’s Covid-19 Dashboard, which provides the latest up-to-date information on COVID-19 cases and vaccination rates in the City.
  • Vaccination
  • Friday, April 8th, 2022: The vaccination sites at Scalzi Park and Cummings Beach will be open from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, the Hunt Park site (ages 12+) will be open from 10:00am -4:00 pm, and the Henry Street vaccination clinic is open from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm.
  • Saturday, April 9th, 2022: The vaccination site at Hunt Park will be open from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. The vaccination sites at Scalzi Park and Cummings Beach will be open from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. The Henry Street vaccination site will be open from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. The Cove and Lione Parks, and West Beach Vaccine Tents will be open from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. The Westover vaccination site will be open from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.

     

  • Sunday, April 10th, 2022: The vaccination sites at Scalzi Park and Cummings Beach will be open from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, the Hunt Park site will be open from 10:00 am -4:00 pm.

 Next week, 4/11– 4/14 vaccines are available at the following locations free without an appointment:

    • 137 Henry Street Clinic: Monday & Thursday 8:30 am – 7:00 pm
    • 137 Henry Street Clinic: Tuesday & Wednesday 8:30 am – 3:00 pm
    • Scalzi Park: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
    • Scalzi Park: Tuesday 11:30 am – 6:30 pm
    • Cummings Park: Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
    • Cummings Park: Wednesday: 11:30 am – 6:30 pm
  • Ages 12 and up only
    • Hunt Park: Monday-Thursday: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm

       

  • 1st and 2nd doses are available to all, as well as booster shots for ages 12+ (Pfizer) and 18+ (Moderna/J&J) at all walk up vaccination clinics. Visit our website for more information on free pop-up locations around town.

     

  • Covid-19 Testing Sites

     

    • St. Mary’s Church (566 Elm St) testing site will be open at the following times.
      • Monday – Friday 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
      • Saturday & Sunday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

         

    • Accu Reference (689 Canal St) testing site will be open at the following times.
      • Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 7:00 pm
      • Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

  • Other Resources
    • If you are unable to leave your home or are uncomfortable traveling to a vaccine site, the Stamford Department of Health will bring the vaccine to you.
  • All information about Stamford's response to COVID-19 can be found on our website at www.stamfordct.gov/covid19.
  • Please visit the State of Connecticut's Vaccine Portal for information on how to request a new copy of your card.

 

City Services

  • The Take it Or Leave it Shop and the Book Swap Shop are now open.  The Take It or Leave It Shop is open, Tuesday & Friday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, and Friday & Saturday from 11:00 am -1:00 pm.

  • The Stamford Recycling Department has released its Spring Recycling and Sanitation Newsletter, click here to view.
