FRANK PETISE PROMOTED TO TRANSPORTATION, TRAFFIC, & PARKING BUREAU CHIEF

STAMFORD, CT - Frank Petise, formerly the acting Bureau Chief with the City of Stamford’s Transportation, Traffic, & Parking Department has been promoted to permanent Bureau Chief.  Frank has been serving as the Acting Chief of Transportation since 2021, where in addition to overseeing the Transportation, Traffic and Parking Bureau, he has overseen the Local Traffic Authority (LTA) for the City, managed the Transportation Engineering & Planning Division, Traffic Operations Division, Parking Enforcement, Parking Operations, and the Parking Fund.

“I am so glad that Frank will continue with us as the permanent Bureau Chief for the Transportation, Traffic, & Parking Department,” said Mayor Caroline Simmons. “His expertise in traffic engineering and planning is essential as the City works to repair our roads and bridges, as well as prepare for the influx of federal funding from the bipartisan infrastructure bill.”

Previously, Frank served the City of Stamford as a Traffic Engineer, where he was responsible for the traffic operations and development reviews for the eastern half of the City and managing the $7 million Parking Fund. Before coming to Stamford, Frank was a senior civil engineer for the Town of Greenwich. Frank graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Civil Engineering and a Masters in civil engineering.

“I would like to thank Mayor Simmons for the opportunity to serve the City of Stamford as the Transportation Bureau Chief,” said Frank Petise. “I look forward to working with the administration and the people of the City of Stamford on making safer, more efficient, and multi-modal streets for all. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue the efforts of our Transportation Traffic and Parking Team to improve the quality of life for the City of Stamford.”
