 SoundWaters Scott Mitchell Scholarship

sound waters

I was excited to join the Soundwaters team this week as they awarded the 2022 Scott Mitchell Scholarship to Stamford High graduate Logan Goncalves.

The Scott Mitchell Scholarship is awarded each year to a SoundWaters student and high school senior from Stamford who has demonstrated leadership skills and a passion for and commitment to the environment.

Logan Goncalves has been an exceptional participant in the SoundWaters programs. He began as a fourth grade student at Stark Elementary School, followed by four summers during middle school in the SoundWaters Young Mariners youth sailing and development program. While he was in high school, Logan worked as a junior staff member and counselor for both Young Mariners and Camp SoundWaters. He was also a member of the National Honors Society, the National English Honors Society and the Stamford High soccer team. Congratulations Logan!
