Bond Sale

Bond Sale

Exciting news! The City recently held its bond sale and sold $40 million in General Obligation Bonds and received a bond premium totaling $3,595,241, which will be deposited into the City’s capital reserve fund and used to pay for short-term capital needs. This comes after rating agencies Fitch and Standard & Poor’s reaffirmed our AAA bond rating.

The City received bids from eleven underwriting firms and the winning bid had a True Interest Cost of 3.18% from investment bank and financial services company Raymond James.

This year’s bond refunding underscores the confidence bond holders have in our City’s fiscal management and economy. I want to thank Director of Administration Sandy Dennies and her team for their work and commitment to ensuring our City’s financial health.

It was great to join Lt. From now until September 5, Connecticut children age 18 and under plus one accompanying Connecticut resident adult can visit participating museums free of charge through the Connecticut Summer at the Museum program. 2022 Summer Interns

Interns

I want to extend my congratulations to the 2022 class of the Mayor's Youth Employment Program! 48 Stamford junior and senior students were able to gain real world experience from internship placements throughout City departments, local businesses, nonprofits, and Stamford Hospital.

Thank you to all the students who participated and worked so hard over the past few weeks and to Michelle Lappas and the Youth Services Bureau for all their work to support and provide enrichment opportunities for students.

Last weekend was beautiful for the Stamford Farmer’s Market and Art in the Park at the Whittingham Discovery Center at Mill River Park!

This is just one platform where I will be sharing updates on a weekly basis, but you can also connect with me and my administration on the platforms below:

And of course, I will be out and about across the city every week visiting with local businesses, meeting with constituents, and hearing from stakeholders in our city – so I hope I’ll be able to talk to you in person very soon.

Have a wonderful weekend!
