9/11 Remembrance

On Sunday, we remembered those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. May we always continue to honor their memory as well as the courage and bravery of the first responders who answered the call that day and in the weeks and months following.

I want to thank our City’s first responders - Stamford Police Department CT, Stamford Fire Department, and EMS - for all you've done and continue to do each and every day to keep Stamford safe.

National Hispanic Heritage Month

September 15th marked the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month, an annual celebration of the achievements, contributions, and culture of Hispanic Americans.

One of Stamford's biggest strengths is our diversity and I want to thank our Hispanic American community for all they do and contribute to our City. I am committed to ensuring Stamford is a vibrant, inclusive, and equitable place for all residents and look forward to continuing to partner and collaborate with our Hispanic community to achieve these goals.

Pollinator Pathways

Investing in our City’s parks is vital to ensuring a great quality of life for Stamford residents. Volunteers with Pollinator Pathway and students from Future 5 helped to restore at garden at Kosciuszko Park that had been damaged during Superstorm Sandy.

This dedicated group of volunteers helped to remove the invasive species and re-establish the rock garden with native plantings that support critical pollinators like bees and butterflies.

Thank you to everyone involved in this project for your commitment to this effort and to protecting our environment!

Stamford Health Expo

Saturday was great day to visit the Stamford Health team at the 11th Annual Health Wellness & Lifestyle Expo! This year’s theme was “Go, Gather, Grow,” to encourage people to go to the expo, gather with family and friends, and grow your mind, body, and spirit. Thank you to all the exhibitors who help make this the largest health expo in Connecticut!

This is just one platform where I will be sharing updates on a weekly basis, but you can also connect with me and my administration on the platforms below:
And of course, I will be out and about across the city every week visiting with local businesses, meeting with constituents, and hearing from stakeholders in our city – so I hope I’ll be able to talk to you in person very soon.

Have a wonderful weekend!
