New Courtland Ave Playground

 COurtland

Wednesday was a beautiful afternoon for the ribbon cutting of the new Courtland Avenue playground! Parks and green spaces are vital to our quality of life and the health and development of our children.

As part of our goal to enhance quality of life and invest in our parks and playgrounds, I was proud to direct funding from our capital budget to create this beautiful new playground and grateful for the work of City’s Operations Department, specifically Engineering and Parks and Recreation, who made this possible.

 Welcome Back Saks OFF 5th

Saks Off

Congratulations to Saks Off 5th on their grand opening! Make sure to check them out at their new location at 110 High Ridge Road (the former Lord & Taylor building).

One of my top priorities as mayor is to attract businesses and jobs to our City. We are grateful for the jobs, vibrancy, and economic development Saks Off Fifth will bring to Stamford

YES to Early Voting

YES EV

I was proud to stand alongside fellow mayors and first selectman from cities and towns across the state to advocate for early voting in Connecticut. Connecticut is just one of four states in the country that does not have some form of early voting. On Election Day, there will be a question on the ballot that reads: “Shall the Constitution of the State be amended to permit the General Assembly to provide for early voting?” I encourage all voters to vote YES on this question. By voting yes on this simple but powerful constitutional amendment, you can help to ensure every eligible voter who takes the time and responsibility to vote will have their voice heard.
