Rippowam Track Temporarily Closed for Resurfacing

Exciting news - resurfacing of the Rippowam Middle School track has begun! The track circles a synthetic turf soccer field, and both the track and field are beloved and well-used resources for residents, nonprofit programs, sports training camps, and students.

The project is ongoing and scheduled to be completed the week of August 1st. Until work is completed, both the field and track are temporarily closed. The work is weather dependent and the new surface requires a resting period, so while there may not be daily activity on the site, it is important that the field not be used. Any disturbance to the new surfacing during the resting period could ruin the underlayment or new surface. Please stay out of the construction site for your safety and the success of this exciting capital improvement – the wait will be worth it!
