CITY OF STAMFORD PARTNERS WITH EYERECYCLE TO OFFER RESIDENTS FREE MOBILE BOTTLE REDEMPTION

 

STAMFORD, CT.— The City of Stamford has announced it has partnered with EyeRecycle to provide residents with the opportunity to redeem 5¢ deposit plastic bottles, cans, and glass bottles for cash. EyeRecycle is a traveling mobile redemption center that hosts pop-up events throughout Connecticut to redeem residents' bottle deposits. The pop-up events will take place at Mill River Park from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on the following dates:

  • Friday, July 28th
  • Friday, August 4th
  • Friday, August 18th

 

“We are excited to partner with EyeRecycle to provide residents with an opportunity to redeem their plastic bottles and cans,” said Mayor Caroline Simmons. “I want to thank Dan Colleluori and the City’s Recycling and Sanitation Department for their work on this pivotal initiative.”

 

Things to know:

  • Instantly receive cash for redeemable containers.
  • Free service and no fees.
  • Accepts plastic bottles, glass bottles & aluminum cans.
  • No limit on the number of containers brought in.
  • Prefer glass to be sorted in boxes.
