Noise Ordinance - Restrictions on Gas-Powered Leaf Blowers

The Board of Representatives approved an ordinance amending Chapter 14 of the Noise Ordinance to include restrictions on gas-powered leaf blowers.

Per the Ordinance, gas-powered leaf blowers shall only be used during the hours of 8:00 am - 6:00 pm on Monday through Friday, and 10:00 am - 3:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Except from October 1st through December 31st, gas-powered leaf blowers may be used during daytime hours as defined in Section 164-3.

Any person in violation of any of the provisions of this Chapter shall be fined in an amount not to exceed $90. Each day such violation continues shall constitute a separate violation.
