Your City at Work: From the Mayor’s Desk

Read below to learn more about initiatives my administration is working on, resources for Stamford residents, information about upcoming events, and important city and state information.

Following the conclusion of the Connecticut General Assembly’s short legislative session, Mayor Caroline Simmons thanked legislators and Governor Ned Lamont for their work to pass critical reforms to support Connecticut residents. Mayor Simmons and city leadership collaborated with the Stamford legislative delegation to advocate for issues that matter most to Stamford residents, including maintaining a strong fiscal position, while also providing greater support for education and disconnected youth.

“As Mayor, it’s a priority of mine to work with our legislative delegation to ensure the needs of Stamford residents are well-represented and the voice of our city is heard loud and clear when state policy is being drafted in Hartford,” said Mayor Simmons. “The results of this legislative session includes measures that provide investments in Stamford’s schools and nonprofit organizations. I want to thank Stamford’s legislative delegation for their partnership and work this session on behalf of our residents.”
